- Welcome the listener on the tour of the Blue Mountains National Park and offer an Acknowledgement or Welcome to Country.*
- Describe the scene using emotive language; what does it look like, sound like, feel like?
- Persuade them to recognize the significance, beauty and meaning of an environment such as the Blue Mountains National Park existing by letting them know what they will regret if the park is cut down.
- Finish with a call to action: tell the listener what you want them to think, feel or do.
- Your speech should be no longer than ONE PAGE

Part two: turning text into sound (10m)
Only once your have completed your final text version of your speech and your teacher has given it the Stamp of Approval may you move onto this step:
Open the application Garage Band on an iPad or computer. Record yourself reading your persuasive speech. Remember: You want your audience to have an emotional response to your speech. You do not want to sound like a robot!

Part four: complete a self and peer assessment with your partner (20m)
Click here to reach the Self-Assessment Google form. Email yourself a copy of your form. Use this for self-reflection and guidance as to how you can improve your text and audio recording.
Click here to reach the Peer-Assessment Google form. When you have completed this form I will email the results to your partner. You will have to listen to a draft audio recording of your partner presenting their speech. Remember this is constructive feedback. It should build your partner up. Not cut them down!


Continue editing your audio file for the rest of the lesson. If you have completed both assessments you may start editing your speech to incorporate the nature sound files.
